When homework will be assigned: Homework will be assigned Monday - Thursday. Homework will a math/science assignment.
Student's homework responsibilities: Students are expected to do their best on each homework assignment. Homework should be neat and easily to read. All math homework needs to be completed in pencil. Parents will be notified of missing assignments on student's communication cards.
Teacher's homework responsibilities: Students begin each week with a 100% on their math HW. 10 points is deducted for each missing math assignment during the week. By the end of the week I tally up the total number of missing assignments and give students their HW grade for the week. Sometimes I will collect and grade the homework assignments.
How to help your child with homework: Please help your child develop a routine for completing their homework by finding them a quiet place to read and complete their assignments. Engage your child in dialogue about what they are reading by asking them questions. Quiz your child on their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts to help them obtain mastery.
